BREEDING GUARANTEE
- ALL ANIMALS ARE GUARANTEED by Carter Brangus TO BE BREEDERS WITH THE EXCEPTION OF (a) calves purchased at 12 months of age or younger, (b) animals shown by purchaser after sale (in cases of animals shown after purchase, the breeding guarantees, if any, shall be such as agreed upon between the Carter Brangus and the buyer) or (c) in the event of (1) injury or disease occurring after sale or (2) gross negligence or willful misconduct on the part of the purchaser.
- Bulls are guaranteed breeders if not allowed to run with the herd until at least 18 months of age. Running young bulls with older animals will result in injury to the young animal and voids any and all guarantees. The buyer assumes all responsibility. Any bull which either (1) settles one-third or more of the healthy cows he services, (2) is the sire of 20 or more animals or (3) settles cows by natural service or passes a fertility test made by a competent veterinarian at any time during the initial six month period after the sale date is considered a breeder.
- Safe in calf females have been examined by a competent veterinarian and are so guaranteed.
- Served or exposed females are believed to be in calf but are not so guaranteed.
- Pasture-bred females have been exposed but are not guaranteed to be in calf.
- Open females have not been served and are so guaranteed.
